What is Nisseki In'ei Collection

What is Nisseki?

Nisseki is a shortened word of "Nihon Sekijuji-sha", which means " Japanese Red Cross Society" in Japanese. It conducts many kinds of activities, however, what I'm most interested in is blood services.

What is In'ei?

In Europe, "signature" is used to identify yourself. But in Japan, "Inkan" ("seal impression" in English?) is still popular instead of sigunature. Not only indivisuals, but companies or organizations has their own inkan.

When the inkan is stamped on paper, there appears some design. It is called "In'ei" in Japanese.

Then, what is Nisseki In'ei Collection?

[Blood donation notebook in Japan]

In Japan, there are red cross blood centers in each area. When you donate your blood, the blood center gives you a blood donation notebook as above, where at most recent 10 records of your donation will be kept.

You can see a red square "in'ei" on the right side in the middle of a blood donation notebook. When I know most blood centers have their own in'ei, I'd like to see in'ei of blood centers where I've not been to. That's why I started this web site "Nisseki In'ei Collection".
